WEBSITE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF USE WITH DISCLOSURES AND DISCLAIMERS
By visiting and using this website, you agree that you have read, understood, and agree to the following Terms and Conditions of Use by SLEEP SOS. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use the Website or book a consultation with Sleep SOS.
In these Terms of Service 'we', 'us' and 'our' refers to "Sleep SOS".
GENERAL
The Client agrees to follow safe sleep practices in line with the AAP safe sleep guidelines and recommendations. Please click here to read more.
The Client understands the safety guidelines on co-sleeping
The Client agrees to notify us of any unsafe sleep practices and understands Sleep SOS is not liable for their babies safety.
The Client will disclose any medical conditions that their child has to Sleep SOS.
The Client will not disclose any of the information they receive from Sleep SOS to a third party.
The Client is aware and fully understands that making changes to sleep can cause some crying / crying is involved with sleep training as we can not guarantee how babies will behave with the Client’s chosen strategy.
Sleep SOS will endeavour to ensure that The Client’s requests for routine and sleep training strategies are met, but ultimately it is the baby who dictates a different approach based on their temperament.
Remember it is always a balance between what we as parents want, and what will successfully work for your child based on their personality, temperament, age, and stage.
PAYMENT
Consultation fees must be paid in FULL prior to your consultation. Once payment is received in full the Client will receive acknowledgement of payment by Sleep SOS.
In-home visits and phone consultations will be confirmed once payment has been made.
A sleep plan will not be issued or a consultation will not take place with outstanding invoices remaining.
Sleep SOS reserves the right to cancel a consultation if there is an outstanding balance owing at the time of the scheduled consultation.
All prices quoted are in $NZ and inclusive of GST.
All consults purchased, must be booked within 6 weeks of purchase date. Failure to book, will result in a 50% refund, and no consultation.
CANCELLATIONS
Cancellations made more than 48 hours prior to a consultation will receive a full refund.
Cancellations made less than 48 hours prior to a consultation may receive a 50% refund.
If cancellation of a personalized sleep plan package is made following a full sleep consultation, and a sleep plan has been sent, no refund will be issued.
If you have booked an online consultation then fail to provide payment or complete the questionnaire within the time frame requested, your booking will automatically be cancelled.
GUARANTEE AND REFUNDS
Our refund policy specifies that the client must follow our advice and use our guidance for two weeks before requesting a refund. Refusal to follow advice or use follow up support does not constitute a refund as advice has not been implemented.
Refunds are issued for negligence and failure.
Refunds are issued not due to change of mind, change of strategy, failure to be consistent, failure to follow suggestions, or logistical inability to follow the sleep plan.
The week or 2 weeks of sleep training must be consecutive and not broken by illness or travel. Behavioural changes such as sleep training take time, and will often need 2 consecutive weeks for results.
Our guarantee covers babies over the age of 5 months. (newborn sleep plans are about hands on settling, and creating healthy sleep habits. Newborn babies need to be gaining 150 grams a week and following a steady growth line for us to intervene with sleep assistance.)
We guarantee we can improve the client’s sleep situation while we work one on one. Any time after the follow up support has ended is outside of our control, and therefore our guarantee. The Client will need to continue to consistently implement any changes suggested by us in order for success to continue.
Any request to refund due to unsuccessful sleep plans need to be requested within 2 days of the original support being finished, as our guarantee only covers the support period.
FOLLOW UP SUPPORT
Additional follow-up support is to be used within three months of purchasing.
A fair use policy applies with respect to text message support. Texts and emails will be answered between 7am-9pm Monday-Friday; 9am-4pm on Saturdays. Please note Maga is not available on Sundays or on any New Zealand public holiday.
One week of follow-up support consists of five x 30 minute phone calls and emails every 24 hrs. to review logs.
Two weeks of follow-up support consists of seven x 30 minute phone calls and emails every 24 hrs. to review logs.
Please note that follow up support can not be pushed out past 1 month of the initial consultation
Emailed logs will be checked by your consultant and either written on, or discussed in the phone call, not both.
TRAVEL AND INTERNATIONAL BOOKINGS
International bookings may incur an additional $5.00 booking fee.
Travel charges are set as the first 20 km within the Wanaka area FREE, 95c per km thereafter is added to your home consultation (return journey).

Sleep SOS only makes suggestions for changes on sleeping or eating arrangements to the Client’s child. The client is responsible for choosing to implement those suggestions or not.
